There was nothing to separate Charlotte FC and Houston Dynamo FC in a fiercely competitive 0-0 draw.
It appeared like Charlotte grabbed an early lead in the 13th minute when Allan Saint-Maximin blasted in a powerful strike. However, an offensive foul nullified what would have been Maxi鈥檚 first goal with the Club.
A tremendous effort by Ashley Westwood nearly broke the deadlock, but the skipper鈥檚 shot ricocheted off the post.
Westwood received a second yellow card in the 71st minute, which reduced Charlotte to 10 men.
Despite playing with a disadvantage, Charlotte persevered to earn a hard-fought point against a strong Houston side.
Up next for Charlotte is a trip north to face CF Montr茅al on Wednesday night. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 PM EST, and it marks the first of a three-game road trip for The Crown.
